Yachting is a sport where teams race on water using a wind-powered boat with a sail. Usually, only large sailing boats and yachts are used in yachting races. In match racing, two boats compete to beat the other to the finish. In team racing, two teams of three boats race to have the lowest overall time to the finish. In fleet racing, large numbers of independent boats race to have the fastest time over a series of races, called a regatta.
