Track cycling is a sport where individuals or teams race against each other around indoor oval tracks using track bicycles, powered by the riders using pedals. In sprint races, the length of the race is usually between 600 and 1000 meters. In endurance races, the length of the race is 3 to 4 kilometers. The winner of these races is the first to cross the finish line. In track cycling, positioning is key, since, when a cyclist stays behind another cyclist, their air drag is reduced.
