Ski jumping is an Olympic sport where individuals, wearing skis, compete to jump long distances using a take-off ramp covered with snow. Participants gain points for landing on or beyond a target point, or they can lose points if they land behind the target. The target is located a certain distance from the jump depending on the height of the take-off ramp. Judges also award participants extra points based off their style during flight and how well they land.
