Shooting sports involve using a firearm (powered by gunpowder) or airgun (powered by air) to shoot at targets. The three main types of firearms used are rifles, which have long barrels and require two hands, pistols, which have short barrels, and shotguns, which shoot projectiles that contain smaller projectiles. Competitions differ in the distance to and number of targets; points are gained based on how close the shots land to the bulls-eye, with the winning competitor having the most points.
