Hurling is a game played between two teams of fifteen players on a grass field. Teams score three points by using a stick (hurley) to hit a ball into the opposing team's goal past their goalkeeper, or one point when the ball is hit over the goal through two goalposts. The ball can be carried for no more than four steps, after which it must be bounced or balanced on the hurley. It can be passed by kicking, hitting with the hurley, or hitting with the open palm.
