Diving is a sport where individuals or pairs perform dives from a board into a body of water. Dives are performed from a springboard, which is either 1 or 3 meters above the water, or from a solid platform, 10 meters above the water. Divers gain points from judges based on their takeoff, the performance of aerial tricks, and the splash upon entry into the water. Pairs of divers are also judged based on how well they are synchronized. The winner has the most points overall.
