Bowls is a sport played between individuals or teams on a level grass surface, where players take turns rolling balls toward a smaller ball, called a jack. Players get points (called shots) based on how many of their balls are closer to the jack than their opponent's balls. Each player gets four bowls per game. The winner is the player who scores 21 shots first. In team play, the winning team is the one with the highest score after 21 games.
