Beach volleyball is a game played between two teams of two players each on a sand court divided by a net strung eight feet above the ground. The goal is to hit a leather, spherical ball over the net so it hits the opposing team's side of the court. Each team is allowed to hit the ball three times by alternating players before it must travel over the net. The winning team must win the best of three sets, each played to 21 points.
