Beach soccer is played by five players on each team, using a spherical ball to try to avoid the opposing team's goalkeeper to score goals in their goal. Beach soccer is played on sand using bare feet to pass and shoot the ball, with only the goalkeeper being allowed to touch the ball with hands. Since the game is played on a 30 x 40 yard sand pitch, individual skill with the ball is emphasized, resulting in lots of shots on goal.
