Basketball is a game played by two teams of five players each on a court with a basket placed ten feet above the ground at each end. The goal is to score the most points by the end of the time limit; points are scored by shooting the basketball through the basket of the opposing team. Excessive physical contact is penalized by fouls. The ball is moved by dribbling and passing the ball, but once the ball has been picked up by a player, they cannot take more than two steps or dribble again.
